Hayco’s reputation as a trustworthy partner to the world’s largest corporations traces back to 1893 when William Hay established the South Australia Brush Company. Under the capable leadership of his son F. Dean Hay, SABCO grew to be a leading manufacturer of household brushes and cleaning products for the US, Europe, Japan and Australia markets.

It was the founder’s grandson, Donald Hay, who was to write a bold new chapter. After gaining two decades of international experience Donald left the family business in 1983 to form Hayco, a world-class manufacturer and innovator, in Hong Kong, and eventually Southern China. Christopher Hay, great grandson of William Hay, joined the company more than ten years ago. As Managing Director, Christopher Hay is driving Hayco’s expansion into new technology, expanding R&D, marketing, sales and distribution.

The history of Hayco has been one of organic growth by reinvestment and acquisition. In 2006 Hayco acquired and integrated former strategic vendor Forson, a prominent mold maker and plastic injection molding facility and operation. The acquisition has enabled Hayco to provide customers with seamless vertically integrated solutions from rapid prototyping to off-tool parts incorporating a variety of injection techniques and technologies. Our roots trace back 110 years, but Hayco’s eyes are fixed firmly on the future and providing tomorrow’s innovative solutions.
